Worcestershire’s Registration Services is now fully open to the public following the end of national lockdown.

The service is open by appointment only with measures in place to ensure the safety of staff and visitors with Worcestershire now in Tier 2.

The full range of services it delivers has resumed, with marriage and civil partnership ceremonies able to take place again, however death registration remain over the telephone only.

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Communities, said: “Our registration services here in Worcestershire understand they are working with our residents at very important moments of their lives.

“The teams at the four Worcestershire County Council registration sites have worked tirelessly to ensure the work is done properly and adheres to the restrictions.”

Marriage and civil partnership ceremonies are now able to take place with 15 guests permitted including the bride and groom.

Anyone working such as the officiants, photographers and caterers are not included in this number. Some aspects of the marriage or civil partnership ceremony remain restricted to abide by current Government guidelines.
