Today marks the start of Worcester’s Victorian Christmas Fayre for 2019.
Why not make the most of the festivities and use the park and ride service to and from the event this weekend?
This year, the Christmas Fayre will be starting Worcester’s Christmas Countdown for the 27th year. It has grown considerably since it first started in 1992 and is now one of the leading themed Christmas Fayres in the country.
Nearly 200 stalls will be taking over the city centre selling local arts, crafts, food and gifts.
The County Council will be once again providing parking space in the car parks at County Hall and staff to help visitors in support of the Park & Ride service no. 910 operated commercially by First Worcester Bus.
The timings for the park and ride are as follows, on Saturday 30 November:
- First bus from County Hall (WR5 2NP) leaves at 08:35 then 08:50, 09:05, 09:20 then up to every 10 minutes
- Last bus back from Crown Gate Bus Station (WR1 3PA) is 20:10 or from Cathedral Square (WR1 2QE) at 20:15.

Jon Fraser, Worcestershire County Council Highways said: "The Victorian Christmas Fayre has been a tradition in Worcester for nearly thirty years now and for many, it marks the beginning of the festive season.
It is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and brings a much needed boost to the local economy. We’re really pleased to be providing the park and ride service again, it’s a great way to enjoy the Fayre and keep the city centre moving."
