If you love the countryside around you, now’s your chance to put your favourite site on the International Map.

Voting is now open for the Green Flag People’s Choice Award. You can vote for your favourite countryside site and let people around the world know just how beautiful it is.

Last year saw tens of thousands of people voting for their favourite park, with winners coming from across the world, from Abu Dhabi in the UAE to Widnes in the UK.

Three countryside sites run by Worcestershire County Council have been awarded a Green Flag Award this year: Worcester Woods Country Park, Waseley Hills County Park and St Wulstan's Local Nature Reserve.

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member Responsible for Communities, said: "The People’s Choice Award is a chance for residents and visitors to show just how much they love and value their parks and countryside sites. It also highlights what a great job our countryside team does in maintaining good quality green spaces that are available all year round.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to put one of our lovely countryside sites on the international map and we hope lots of people will log on and vote”

Throughout September you can vote for your favourite by visiting the Green Flag website.  To vote go to the winners map go to the Green Flag Award website, find your favourite park and click the vote button within the profile.

Voting is now open and closes 30 September, with the winning sites being announced on 15 October.

Let's add Worcestershire to that list of winners!
