Latest updates on the development of our Game Changer Sites
Construction could be underway at the flagship Worcester Six Business Park after leading property developer Stoford submitted plans for a major data centre.
If the planning, which is being determined by Wychavon District Council, gets the green light to the new development, work to build a nearly 40,000 sq ft data centre with almost half of this space being used for office accommodation, will begin later this year.
The development is on behalf of 1&1 IONOS Ltd, which provides web-hosting services and cloud solutions for small to medium enterprise businesses.

Earlier this year, Worcestershire County Council pledged an additional £4 million of funding over 2 years, to further grow the county's successful Game Changer Programme.
The programme is designed to bring in investment to the County, along with jobs and growth.
Since then much has already been achieved.
The successful Worcester Six Business Park, just off Junction 6 of the M5, announced its newest arrival in the summer.
Cornelius Drinks, who are the world’s leading supplier of beverage dispensing and cooling equipment, is a brand new business to the county.
Their new premises at the Worcester Six Business Park has enabled them to expand their operations in the UK.
This successful business joined Kimal, a leading manufacturer and supplier of products for the healthcare sector that moved into their new headquarters at Worcester Six this year.
Material Solutions (a 3D printing company that is now part of the Siemens Group), has already moved onto the site and Spire Healthcare also moved in earlier this year.

A leading global manufacturer and supplier of food and beverage equipment is to establish its UK headquarters in Worcester as it expands its operations.
Marmon Food & Beverage Equipment will occupy a 28,500 sq ft unit at Worcester Six Business Park from this month (July), bringing a number of new jobs to the area.
Marmon Food & Beverage Equipment is a group of businesses that produces food preparation and holding equipment for restaurants and other commercial environments, plus beverage dispensing and cooling equipment for brand owners and foodservice retailers worldwide. Among its leading brands are Cornelius and Prince Castle.

Leading private hospital provider Spire Healthcare is preparing to move into its new £9 million premises at Worcester Six Business Park after Stoford Developments handed it over, 12 months after construction began. When the business moves to the 72,500 sq ft unit at the prestigious £120 million business site, it will provide jobs in customer and professional services, distribution services and archive management.

With an additional £4 million of funding being pledged by Worcestershire County Council over the next 2 years, the county's successful Game Changer programme is set for expansion.
With funding confirmed, they are on the lookout for opportunities for more sites to complement the three that are already in progress.

Work has now officially begun on Kohler Mira's £20 million environmentally friendly development at the Worcester Six Business Park.
Kohler Mira, parent company of Mira Showers, is the fourth occupier to announce its move to Worcester Six this year and marks a significant investment for the company which is expanding its UK operations.

Local firm Kimal PLC are having a great start to the New Year by celebrating completion of their new £13million headquarters.
Nearly 80 staff will be moving into the new unit, situated on the Worcester Six Business Park, next month.
Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy and Infrastructure, Councillor Ken Pollock, said: "It's great to see this hugely successful Worcestershire company expand into this ideally located business park. We are seeing more local firms expanding than ever before and new businesses making the move to Worcestershire, both helping to keep our economy thriving.”

A leader in the manufacture of kitchen and bathroom products has today announced plans to create a state-of-the-art distribution, training and office unit in Worcestershire.
Kohler Mira, parent company of leading UK shower brand Mira Showers, is initially investing over £20 million in the first phase of its 11.3-acre development.
Phase 1 of the scheme will deliver a unit of 158,000 sq ft with a further phase delivering up to an additional 100,000 sq ft.

Construction work has started on a new £13 million headquarters building at Worcester Six Business Park for Kimal's arrival later this year.
Worcestershire company Kimal Plc is relocating and expanding its headquarters to a 140,000 sq. ft. unit at Worcester Six – a £120 million business park located on the outskirts of Worcester near Junction 6 of the M5.
It was the first company to commit to moving to the site, followed by Spire Healthcare and one of Europe's largest 3D printing companies, Material Solutions, part of Siemens.
The announcement that one of Europe's largest 3D printing companies, Siemens, is moving onto the flagship Worcester Six Business Park, has been welcomed today by the County Council.
The company is investing £27million and the move will create 55 new jobs in the county.
Worcester Six Business Park has been identified within Worcestershire's Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) as one of the county's "game changer" sites – key employment sites seen as important in driving the county's future economic prosperity.
With funding from the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership's' Local Growth Dea', Worcestershire County Council is working in partnership with leading Birmingham – based commercial property developer Stoford Developments on the with private sector investment from Liberty Property Trust. The £120m Worcester Six Business Park will provide up to 1.5m sq ft of accommodation in a range of units, when fully developed.
