Worcestershire Leader is now closed for applications
- Do you have a great idea for setting up or growing a rural business?
- Can you see a gap in service in your rural community?
- Is there something distinctive about your local, rural area that makes it a great visitor destination?
Background
LEADER is part of the Rural Development Programme for England and is delivered locally by Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Local Action Group on behalf of Defra.
The focus of the programme is on growing the economies of rural communities by enabling local people to identify and implement solutions to local problems.
The project has received funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development under the Rural Development Programme for England. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is the Managing Authority for the Rural Development Programme for England. Established by the European Union, the Rural Development Programme for England helps local rural areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support businesses, create jobs and facilitate local community regenerations. For more information visit the Rural Development page of the European Commission website.
