Consultations on expansion of schools for 2018 and 2019
In 2017 the County Council began discussions to increase the number of places available in Bromsgrove First Schools in recognition of higher than average numbers of pupils entering reception in the Bromsgrove area in 2016.
In autumn term 2017, four schools consulted with their parents, stakeholders, and their local community on the potential of permanently expanding their schools. Details of the proposals and responses can be seen below. Following this informal consultation phase, St Andrew's C.E. First School, Barnt Green, chose to withdraw themselves from consideration. Consultation started: September 2017
Consultation decision: On 26 April 2018, the Cabinet Member for Education and Skills agreed to expand Hanbury C.E. First School by a total of 3 places per year group with effect from September 2019.
