Positive Outcomes Project (POP)
The Positive Outcomes Project is a new project within Worcestershire Children First focusing on supporting children and young people aged 10 to 17 years in their communities. POP’s vision is to contribute to building stronger communities by developing emotional well-being and resilience through one to one direct work or groupwork in schools and with families.

This is a team of Family Support workers who deliver direct work to children, young people and their families and carers as part of an early help plan where there is a specifically identified need at Level 2 and Level 3.

Emergency Duty Team (EDT)
This service provides an out of office hour's service to ensure the emergency welfare and protection of children across Worcestershire, Open from 5pm weekdays and 4.30pm on Fridays covering the weekend and bank holidays.

Family Front Door (FFD)
The Family Front Door is the referral point for all referrals where members of the community and professionals refer children and young people living in Worcestershire where they are worried about
their safety and welfare.

Fostering and Kinship
The Fostering Team provide social work support to foster carer's who are looking after children in foster care, they also respond to members of the public who wish to apply to be a foster carer. The Kinship team provides the same support but to family members who are fostering a family member or friend.

Homeless Intervention Team (HIT)
The HIT team complete assessments of need and risk to young people aged 16 - 18 years who are, or likely to become homeless. They, working closely with the housing department.

Safeguarding Quality Assurance (SQA)
The Quality and Assurance Team is a team separate to Children's Social Work Teams. They chair Looked After children reviews and Child protection conferences. The Local Authority Designated officer (LADO) also sits within this service.

GET SAFE
The GET SAFE Team is co-located in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This enables us to work closely with other partner agencies such as West Mercia Police, Health, Education Safeguarding, Adult Safeguarding and Youth Justice sharing information and ensuring concerns are quickly responded to.

Supporting Families First
Supporting Families First is a service which offers a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting children and families who are subject to Children in Need plans or on the edge of Local Authority care. The service aims to keep children within their families, where it is safe and appropriate to do so. Supporting Families First supports parents/carers and the children they care for to manage risk, improve relationships and develop existing strengths.
The service works with young people aged 0-18 years for a maximum period of 16 weeks but this can be extended if required and a need is identified.

Pause
Pause work with women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. We aim to give women the opportunity to pause and take control of their lives breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma.
