About the training courses

  • the courses are available to support Eco-Coordinators, Head Teachers and others within school with their Learning for Sustainability work
  • the courses are open to all schools and we are happy for independent schools and schools outside of Worcestershire to attend
  • please note that some of the courses will incur an attendance fee

Eco Coordinators Training, 1/2 day course

  • if you are a new Eco-Coordinator, new to approaches in Education for Sustainable Development, going for the coveted Eco Schools Green Flag award, or just want a refresher, then this training session will be helpful to you
  • we'll cover detail including how to cover sustainability in the curriculum, best ways to get other key staff involved, and how the Green Flag application works

Energy Management training, 1/2 day course

  • we have Energy Management training delivered with Place Partnership Limited, which covers use of the different systems schools have access to in order to monitor and analyse their energy usage, as well as information on how to achieve reductions in energy usage and embedding energy into the curriculum
  • please note, any school which does not pay for the Energy Module of the Worcestershire Place Partnership Schools SLA will need to pay to attend - please enquire for costs

Waste Management training, 1/2 day course

  • we also run waste management training, with a particular focus on management of food waste but covering all types of waste from schools, how to reduce it and different methods for disposal
