Application Ref: 21/000029/CM Applicant: NRS Ltd Proposal: Proposed importation of inert restoration material and extraction of sand to enable engineering operations for stability purposes and completion of site restoration Location: (Western portion of the former) Sandy Lane Quarry, Wildmoor, Worcestershire
I give notice that on 30 July 2021, NRS Ltd applied to Worcestershire County Council for planning permission for the above proposal. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The applicant is seeking planning permission to remove approximately 245,000 tonnes of sand and import 975,000 cubic metres of inert materials over a period of six years. The objective of the application is to enable a buttress wall to be keyed into the eastern part of the site to stabilise the exposed face, and to facilitate the complete final restoration of the former Sandy Lane Quarry.
