Application Ref: 19/000056/CM   Applicant:  Mr Timmins  Proposal: Extraction of sand and gravel and subsequent infilling with inert waste to achieve full restoration    Location: Pinches (4) Quarry, Wildmoor Lane, Wildmoor, Bromsgrove, B61 0QN

I give notice that on 6 April 2021, the applicant wrote to Worcestershire County Council submitting further information in relation to the Environmental Statement regarding a number of matters including: ecology, highways, geotechnical standards, drainage and environmental matters, hydrology and operational matters, restoration, contaminated land, noise, dust, public health, heritage, and landscape. The County Council are now seeking comments on this further information.

On 7 January 2020, Mr Timmins applied to Worcestershire County Council for planning permission for the above proposal. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan as the location of the development is within the Green Belt and is not located within an identified preferred area for sand and gravel extraction within The County of Hereford and Worcester Local Plan (April 1997). The development may affect the setting of Listed Buildings and Public Rights of Way. The applicant is seeking planning permission to extract approximately 1 million tonnes of sand and gravel, with restoration by way of importation of inert waste material, returning the site primarily to agricultural use. The applicant estimates that the development would take 14 years to complete. The County Council sought comments on this planning application from 29 January 2020 until 4 March 2020.
