Lord Austin and Longbridge – Illustrated talk by Max Hunt

Thursday 6th July at 7:00pm. NB: The venue is St. Chad's Church

This illustrated talk will tell the story of Herbert Austin from obscure beginnings in rural Buckinghamshire to his position as Britain's pre-eminent motor manufacturer in the 1930s; it will trace the wartime history of Longbridge and consider some of the factors in its later decline.
