Thursday

Alvechurch Readers' Group. Meet with your fellow members and discuss this month's book in a relaxed group. Meets on the last Thursday of the month from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, Booking is required in person or by phone: 01905 822722.

Monday

Baby, Bounce and Rhyme for under 5's. Come and join in our very popular and lively singing session. Every Monday from 10:00am - 10:30am.

Chatterbooks for ages 7-12. Fun activities based around reading and books. Meets monthly from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Please contact the library for details of session.

Tuesday

Storytime for under 5's. Come and listen to tall tales and silly stories. Every Tuesday from 11.00am to 11:30am.

Thursday

Chldren's Sewing and Knitting Class for ages 8+. Children will learn a wide variety of different techniques including hand sewing, machine sewing, knitting, felting and applique. Every Thursday from 3:20pm to 4:30pm. Booking is required. Cost is £5 per session and all materials are provided.

Friday

Lego club for children aged 4+ years.  Every Friday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Enjoy our Lego challenges, have fun and fire-up the power of your imagination.  £1 per child.  Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.  Limited places, booking essential.

Saturday

Chess club. Come and learn to play chess or have a game with a friendly member or coach to practise and improve your skills. Meets every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Booking required in person or by phone: 01905 822722. All are welcome.

Crafty Ladies. An informal and self-running group that uses shared library space for knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, etc. Meets every Monday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. All are welcome.

Friday

Green Shoots & Tips. Are you a keen gardener? Would you like to spend time with like-minded people in the comfort of your local library? The perfect opportunity to support each other, make new friends and learn new gardening tricks!  Meets the 4th Friday of every month from 11:00am to 12:00pm. All are welcome.

Jigsaws available to borrow, for free, during library opening hours.
