8 August 2022 - Alvechurch Library is open, however, due to major roadworks, the library is only accessible by car via the Birmingham Road coming from the Alvechurch shopping centre side. You will need to let the road workers know you need access to the library and they will let you through. You cannot access the library via the Birmingham Road, on the Hopwood/Barnt Green side, as the road is blocked off. We apologise for any inconvenience. |

Children's ActivitiesMondayBaby, Bounce and Rhyme for under 5's. Come and join in our very popular and lively singing session. Every Monday from 10:00am - 10:30am. Chatterbooks for ages 7-12. Fun activities based around reading and books. Meets monthly from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Please contact the library for details of session. TuesdayStorytime for under 5's. Come and listen to tall tales and silly stories. Every Tuesday from 11.00am to 11:30am. ThursdayChldren's Sewing and Knitting Class for ages 8+. Children will learn a wide variety of different techniques including hand sewing, machine sewing, knitting, felting and applique. Every Thursday from 3:20pm to 4:30pm. Booking is required. Cost is £5 per session and all materials are provided. FridayLego Club for children aged 4+ years. Every Friday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Enjoy our Lego challenges, have fun and fire-up the power of your imagination. £1 per child. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Limited places, booking essential. SaturdayChess Club. Come and learn to play chess or have a game with a friendly member or coach to practise and improve your skills. Meets every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
