Commencing in July 2022 in Worcestershire, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and its partners are offering a range of courses designed to upskill employees.
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, which can provide individuals and employees with the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills. The aim of the programme is to help individuals source the skills needed for employment and for businesses to ensure their staff gain relevant skills for life, supporting the business to continue growing.
Ultimately the programme aims to help employees to upskill and progress in their career.
In Worcestershire, the Skills Bootcamps programme will be covering digital and technology, construction and care skills and has been designed to respond to skills shortages.
Any Worcestershire employers are eligible for the Skills Bootcamps programme.
Employers contribute to the cost of training if they want to use Skills Bootcamps to train their existing employees. Large employers (250+) contribute 30% of the cost, and small or medium employers (3 to 249) contribute 10% of the cost.
