Under the current system, police share a daily report on all incidences of domestic violence with social services and other partners. The report is used for discussions at the daily Multi-agency Domestic Violence Triage meetings where decisions on joining up support are made. The importance of making this information comprehensive is therefore incredibly important to improving outcomes.
We are working with the partners involved to explore what additional information could help teams at the daily triage events make better decisions in a shorter amount of time. Privacy is assured through the use of secured data transfer methods and faster, more appropriate decisions are made by ensuring access to the right information at the right time with a reduced dependence on ad-hoc record research which can be time consuming and inconsistent.
