Improving our response to flooding

In emergency events, it is essential that first responders and the Local Resilience Forum have access to accurate intelligence which can facilitate the effective deployment of resources, such as Military Aid to a Civil Power (MAC P). In particular, it is critical that they can obtain information on vulnerable people and premises in the area, with an understanding of how the level of need will evolve through the course of the emergency event.

This use case focuses on the enhanced sharing of data regarding the characteristics of vulnerable between relevant agencies and first responders, through the Resilience Direct platform. The database will subsequently enable genuinely evidence-based approaches for the prioritisation of resource deployment.
