Worcestershire Arts Partnership 1000 Days Logo

The Worcestershire Arts Partnership (WAP) began in 2010 as a way of bringing together the many different art stake holders in the county. This includes members of the professional, amateur and voluntary arts sector, local authority officers from both the arts and non-arts sectors, The University of Worcester, The Arts Council, The Elmley Foundation and leading arts freelancers.

A new Arts Strategy for Worcestershire 2016 to 2019 – "1000 Days" was launched in October 2016. 1000 days is the period of time over which the Strategy will be delivered and will highlight the many stories and positive impact the arts has had on numerous people and communities.

Please take a look at the strategy and accompanying action plan to discover the ambitious aims to build a stronger and more resilient arts sector within Worcestershire.

As part of our commitment to providing training and support for the local arts sector we are organising a Free Arts and Health Symposium on 5th June at The Hive, Worcester.  Join us for a thought provoking day on how the arts can contribute to the wider arts and health agenda. The event includes a mix of presentations by guest speakers on Intergenerational Arts and Health, and Social Prescribing and the Arts.

There will also be performances by Reaction Theatre Makers, Everybody Dance and an Exhibition by Sight Concern.
