Bus Service Review Questions - Additional Consultation
The 12-week consultation closed on 1st April 2011 and a number of key messages have been raised by respondents.
Crucially, people have told us that they would prefer a reduction in service wherever possible, rather than a complete withdrawal. This is, therefore, an essential consideration as proposals are finalised for making the necessary reductions.
To reflect the outcomes of the consultation, proposals have been amended to reduce the number of bus services potentially withdrawn from 72 to 25. However, as a consequence of retaining these bus services, other routes would be affected including reductions in their hours of operation and frequency. A new list of affected services can be found here.
