People interested in exploring the history of their house are invited to a House History workshop at The Hive.

House History is increasingly popular, as people look to find out the history of their house or another building of interest. Here in The Hive the Worcs Archive & Archaeology Service hold lots of documentary evidence to help tell the story, including maps, directory, photos and census.

In this workshop, attendees will go through the main sources, using a couple of local buildings as case studies, and go through how to search the catalogues and indexes.

The workshop will take place on Saturday 29 October from 10am-1pm on the Explore The Past floor, level 2 of The Hive.

Paul Hudson, Learning & Outreach Manager, Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, said: "People often come in to ask about the history of their house, and this is a great way to understand the many sources which can help you to discover the history of the building and the people who lived there."

Places are limited and need to be booked at a cost of £15 each. Bookings can be made online through
