Parents can now apply for their child's 2017 primary, middle and secondary school places.
Children born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 need to apply for a school place starting September 2017.
Applications for secondary school admissions open from 1 September 2016 and close on 31 October 2016. Applications for primary and middle school admissions open from 1 September 2016 and close on 15 January 2017.
Cllr Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Children and Families said: "School is such a significant time in a person's life, and it is important that children are given the best opportunity to study in their favoured environment. I would encourage parents to apply for school places before the closing date in order to give their child the best chance of getting their preferred choice of school.
"Our new admissions system will make this process easier than ever, and there are still options in place for those without access to a computer."
How to apply:
Parents can apply by registering and then using an online application process available at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions.
Applying online is convenient, quick and easy to do, and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week up to the closing date. The secure applications are much less likely to get lost, and parents are provided with a reference number and an email confirmation once completed. The system has recently been upgraded to make it even more user-friendly, and is now available via mobiles and tablets.
Parents with no access to a computer can use their local library or contact the Worcestershire Hub who will be able to assist them with the process.
Offers are made in writing, electronically by the home local authority and emailed to the parents via the email address they provided when registering. Parents with no access to a computer will have their offer posted to them.
