As part of 'Make a Noise in Libraries' fortnight, staff at Kidderminster Library are happy to be celebrating the work of local, talented Young People.
The Young Writers Group will be popping into the library to showcase their poetry. Zines which they have created this year as part of their writing group will also be on display in the library atrium.
The event has been organised by Writing West Midlands and Kidderminster Library and will take place at Kidderminster Library on Saturday 18 June, 10-30am-12.30pm.
Poet and Writer Jean Atkin said: "A chance to hear talented and local young people in pop-up readings at the Library during the morning, and see the work they’ve been doing all year as a Writing West Midlands Young Writers Group, led by poet and writer Jean Atkin and assistant writer Nicholas Tulloch. On display will be zines of all shapes and sizes which the group have designed to showcase their creative work this year."
Kidderminster Library Manager Caroline Faulkner said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the talent of young people in Kidderminster, and we are looking forward to hosting the event. I would encourage users of the library to pop in and hear some of the county's most talented young poets and see the innovative and exciting zines that will be on display."
