Pirate fun at St John's Library

Published Monday, 23rd May 2016

St John's Library is holding a pirate-themed family event open to all children between the ages of 3 and 9 years.

Young readers will enjoy our exciting underwater and pirate-themed Family Fun Time on Saturday June 11 from 10am-12noon. We are inviting all children between the ages of 3 and 9 years who will fully enjoy our free creative craft event.

Children will be able to have a fun-filled time making pirates, treasure chests, and underwater scenes. There will also be an opportunity to take part in our pirate hunt in the children's library and listen to our pirate themed story, 'The Positively Pleasant Pirates' written by local author Greg Dobbins.

Janet Davidson, Library Customer Advisor said: "These events have been running for the past three years and are always popular with young children and their families. They allow children to have fun and enjoy learning using the books and resources which St John's Library has to offer. There's no need to book for the event, just come along and join in the fun."
