Evening Archive Tour

Published Thursday, 5th May 2016

To coincide with Museums at Night, Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service is offering visitors the chance to have an evening tour behind the scenes, accessing areas the public don't normally get to see.

The Tour will take in some of the highlights of the archive collections, including a letter from the Titanic and a beautiful book of 18th century maps. A recent Tudor Tour was sold out, and visitors interested in this fascinating era of British history will be pleased to know that Shakespeare's marriage bond will also be included on this evening tour.

The Evening Archive Tour will take place at The Hive on Wednesday 11 May from 7-8pm.

Su Vale, Outreach Assistant, said: "People always enjoy our behind the scenes tours, seeing places which are usually off limits. They also enjoy being able to see some of the highlights of the archives, such as Shakespeare's marriage bond. This is a great opportunity for those who can only come in evenings."

Places are £5 and need to be booked in advance at http://www.thehiveworcester.org/explore-the-past-events.html
