Wythall Library is moving to the new Community Hub at Woodrush High School, Shawhurst Lane at the end of this month.
The library, which is currently located in May Lane will close on Wednesday 20 April at 5pm. It will reopen in the brand new purpose built space in Shawhurst Lane on Saturday 30 April at 9.30am.
Customers are being informed that all items borrowed and due back during the closure will automatically be given an extension. Customers are also being encouraged to visit their next closest libraries in Alvechurch and Redditch and to use the free e-books and e-magazines service available to all users via www.worcestershire.gov.uk/libraries
The facilities and services offered in the new library will not change; with free internet access; children's activities; adult learning courses; and other regular activities all continuing to be offered.
The library will be sharing the library space with Woodrush High School's library. The hub building will also include meeting space, a cafe, gym and dance studio.
The new library also comes with new opportunities for volunteering with roles including: meeting and greeting library customers; becoming a digital champion to help people get online; shelving and helping to keep the library tidy, unpacking items; getting involved in library clubs and other regular library activities or helping at a range of one-off events.
