The Public Health 'Healthy Communities' team in partnership with Rooftop Housing Group is offering two ‘introduction to the internet’ sessions in Wychavon using the Mobile Library bus.
These sessions are to support people to "get on line" and access health-specific websites such as NHS Choices, local GP surgery websites and Worcestershire County Council's Your Life Your Choice website.
Designed for those who don't know how to get online or are struggling, the Mobile Library bus will be located in Bredon opposite the Bowling Club car park on Thursday 11 March between 10am and 1pm, and at Honeybourne Village Hall on Monday 14 March between 10am and 1pm.
Cllr Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Health and Well Being said: "Online resources are a fantastic way for people to maintain their health while easing pressure on vital NHS services. These sessions are designed to help people who have perhaps struggled to make full use of the online resources available to them, and for those who wish to further their knowledge."
A one hour training session can be booked by calling Clare on 01386 535182 or members of the community can drop in and use a computer if one is available. All computers and a trainer are provided free, but people with their own charged laptop or tablet are welcome to bring them along.
