Acclaimed Midlands poet Liz Berry will visit Bromsgrove Library this National Libraries Day (Sat 6 Feb 2016).
The visit will be the first evening event to be held in the brand new Library at Parkside, and is supported and sponsored by Poetry on Loan. The event begins at 6.30pm, and doors open at 6pm.
Liz will be reading from her award-winning work and answering questions. There will also be copies of her publications available to buy, including her debut collection, Black Country, which was selected as a poetry book of the year by The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Mail, The Morning Star and The Big Issue.
Cllr Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Localism and Communities said: "Liz is a very well-respected young poet and we are delighted to welcome her to the new Bromsgrove Library. With the visit falling on National Libraries Day, it is wonderfully appropriate that guests will enjoy an evening of poetry."
Tickets cost £2.50, including a complimentary drink, and are available in person at Bromsgrove Library, by emailing email@example.com or by calling 01905 822722.
