Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle is getting into the festive spirit this December with its annual 'Christmas at the Castle' weekend.
Christmas at the Castle will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December (11am-4.30pm).
One of the highlights of the day will be the chance to meet Santa and his helpers in his Winter Wonderland grotto and receive a special gift.
Children can take part in a variety of craft activities including making Christmas tree decorations and lavender spice bags, get their face painted and write their letter to Santa.
In the Castle's Scullery the housemaid will be busy with Christmas preparations and needs some help to make the pomanders and stir the Christmas pudding. Out in the Carriage Circle the Castle Coachman will be offering horse & carriage rides.
Children will be able to dress up, grab a prop and join in with interactive story telling in the Castle's Georgian Saloon.
Adults can take time to browse the gift and craft fair in the Great Hall and the whole family will enjoy the changing programme of entertainment from local choirs and musical groups.
Families wanting their money to go further this Christmas will be pleased to hear that entrance to the event is just £13 for a family of four. And visitors can make it a full day out with a visit to the Castle Kitchen Café which will be offering a variety of homemade meals and snacks and other festive treats.
