Keen walkers are being encouraged to venture out next weekend (26 September) when Ombersley plays host to its first Walk Worcestershire village walk.

The 4 mile circular walk will take participants around the village drawing attention to some of the most beautiful scenery Worcestershire has to offer from the picturesque village. The walk starts at 10am and takes approximately 2 hours before finishing with light refreshments at Ombersley Memorial Hall.

Amanda Hill Countryside Access Volunteers Officer 'Join us for a walk around the picturesque village of Ombersley and through local countryside to walk along the banks of the River Severn before returning to the village for refreshments in the Memorial Hall – everyone is welcome.'

The new walk is one of the easy to use Walk Worcestershire routes which can be found on www.worcestershire.gov.uk/countryside. These tracks are well waymarked and have a printable leaflet which makes the route easy to follow. Improvements to the route have been made by local volunteers and the probation service over the last 12 months.
