Published Wednesday, 20th May 2015

Families are being given the opportunity to discover ‘the secrets of the ocean floor’ at St John’s Library.

The adventure of the big blue sea will be taking place at Family Fun Time on Saturday, 13 June, from 10am to 12 noon.

An array of aquatic-themed crafts and activities will be available, from deep-sea fishing games, to creating octopus and jellyfish puppets, magical mermaids and shell boxes.

Activities will be free of charge and are suitable for children between the ages of 3 and 9 years.

Janet Davidson, Library Customer Advisor, said: "Our free underwater adventure has been designed for families with younger children to enjoy the excitement of the deep-sea.

"With the many activities and crafts available, children will be guaranteed to have a fun time and it is also a great opportunity for parents to see the creativity of their children."
