Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire to receive HRH The Princess Royal

The Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Lt Col Patrick Holcroft LVO OBE, is delighted receive HRH The Princess Royal in Worcestershire on two occasions over the next two weeks.

Monday 13 April 2015

Worcester

HRH The Princess Royal will be opening the new Worcestershire Oncology Centre and visiting the Meadow Birth Centre at the Worcester Royal Hospital. The Princess will arrive at the Oncology Centre at 11.30 am and will unveil a plaque at 12.30 pm in the Centre's entrance Atrium. She will then visit the Meadow Birthing Centre meeting Doctors and Midwifes.

Bewdley & Kidderminster

HRH will then visit the Severn Valley Railway on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary, arriving in Bewdley at 1.50pm and travelling on the train to Kidderminster, arriving at 2.20pm. During the visit The Princess Royal will be meeting some of SVR's 1,200 volunteers as well as the staff who keep the popular train line running and developing. She will also be invited to unveil a plaque to commemorate their 50th Anniversary.

Droitwich / Hartlebury

The Princess Royal will be visiting Worcestershire on the 20 April, attending the 'Voice for Young Carers' Conference organised by the Youth Support Service and hosted by DRP Group. The Princess Royal will arrive at 11.00 am and will spend the morning at the Conference meeting young carers and hearing about the important work they do.

Bromsgrove / Blackwell

HRH will then move on to the village of Blackwell near Bromsgrove where, as Patron of Lattitude Global Volunteering, she will visit Blackwell Adventure. The Princess Royal will arrive at 1.45 pm and be shown around the site and meet some of the Lattitude Global Volunteers.
