Whether it's enjoying country capers, decorating your Easter bonnet for a parade or making eggstraordinary Easter gifts, Museums Worcestershire is welcoming children and parents this Easter.
On Wednesday 1 April children aged seven and over can join in a crafty workshop to create and decorate Eggstraordinary Easter Garlands. Throughout the Easter holidays visitors to the Art Gallery & Museum can explore amazing objects including dinosaur footprints, a baby polar bear and our famous sturgeon in the museum gallery and also enjoy the current exhibitions 'An Englishman Abroad' and 'Stanhope Forbes' England'. Entry is free and the Art Gallery & Museum is open Monday – Saturday 10.30am – 4.30pm (closed Good Friday and Easter Monday). The Commandery has a whole host of traditional crafts and Easter fun for all the family from Tuesday 31 March – Friday 10 April. Join the parade on Easter Monday 6 April when you can create your own unique Easter bonnet at The Commandery and then parade up Fort Royal Hill for even more Easter activities. There's a prize for the best bonnet and what's more if you pay your council tax to Worcester City Council you can get into the Commandery for FREE!
From Tuesday 31 March – Thursday 2 April and Tuesday 7 – Friday 10 April visitors to The County Museum at Hartlebury can enjoy countryside themed craft activities. On Easter Monday 6 April it's Country Capers all day as Hartlebury celebrates the countryside with traditional crafts and games, local produce, children's activities and archery. Visitors can enjoy fantastic falconry displays, meet alpacas, watch ferret racing and have a donkey ride. While you're at Hartlebury enjoy the unique collection of gypsy caravans, including the Gypsy Queen, take a look at toys and games from times gone by and explore Worcestershire's rich agricultural history from plough to plate.
