The most wonderful time of year is fast approaching and there are lots of festive events taking place across the county, each sprinkling a little extra Christmas magic.

Worcester Cathedral will be marking the first day of Advent this coming Sunday 1st December with an Advent Sunday service and candlelit procession beginning at 6:30pm.

The Hive’s annual lantern parade will be lighting up Worcester City Centre on Thursday 5th December from 6pm. The parade will run from Cathedral Square through to the Hive, with a rock choir providing backing vocals to the whole event from 5:30pm.

Tenbury’s Mistletoe Festival will be aiming to spread the love when the annual event returns on Saturday 7th December, with a wide range of activities taking place from 10am-8:30pm.

It’ll be beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Hartlebury Castle on Saturday 7th December and Sunday 8th December with their ‘Christmas in the Castle’ event between 11am-4pm.

Children can go on the hunt for Santa’s little helpers; his trusty elves, or make reindeer themed christmas cards whilst Santa will be taking pride of place in his grotto.

The Castle will also be shining bright by candle light on Saturday 14th December, with Mince Pies and Mulled Wine also on offer to help you continue to your countdown to Christmas.

Santa Claus will also be coming to Croome Court this December, and will be touring the  house in its Christmas finery, when he pops in for a mince pie and a chat to visitors on Saturday 7th  and Sunday 8th, Saturday 14th  and Sunday 15th and Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December.

There is a late night shopping event in Broadway tonight (29th November) and next Friday (6th December).

May your Christmas be merry and bright.
