Worcestershire Will Remember Them

Towns and villages across Worcestershire will be marking remembrance Sunday and Armistice day this weekend.

Events will be held across the county in honour of those who lost their lives in the two World Wars.

There will be a number of road closures will be in place across the county in order for parades to go ahead.

Kate La Barre, Armed Forces Partnership Officer at Worcestershire County Council said, “Attending a Remembrance Day event can be a wonderful way to honour those that fought in the two World Wars. Across the county there are events for people to attend both on Remembrance Sunday and on Armistice Day.

“It’s great to see so many of the members of the Worcestershire Armed Forces Covenant Partnership getting involved.” 

Worcestershire County Council is part of the Worcestershire Armed Forces Covenant Partnership.

Chairman of Worcestershire County Council, Councillor Peter Tomlinson will hold a Remembrance service for staff to honour Armistice Day on Monday 11th November.

The Worcestershire Armed Forces Covenant Partnership is a group made up of charities and organisations that have contact with veterans in Worcestershire.
