The exam results season is now complete for another year and Apprenticeships Roadshows are being held across the county to help young people of Worcestershire decide their next step.
The Apprenticeships Roadshows and job fairs have been organised by the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Hub and will be taking place at libraries across Worcestershire.
These events will showcase the wide variety of opportunities available to young people that are considering what to do after receiving their GCSE or A-Level exam results.
Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member with responsibility for Education and Skills said: “In addition to traditional A Levels, there are many exciting and rewarding choices available for young people to choose from, as part of the next stage of their academic or professional career. This includes study programmes, traineeships, vocational courses such as BTECs as well as apprenticeships. The apprenticeship roadshow is a great way to seek out further advice about what to do next and access information about what options are available.”
Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Communities said: ”It’s fantastic that these roadshow events which are being hosted at libraries across Worcestershire have been really well received. Young people have really benefitted from career advice and talking to potential employers and I really hope this continues during the remaining events.”
Over 60 young people have already attended the Apprenticeships Roadshow during the first week of the 2-week series of events, with some young people already being introduced to employers.
