Fun With Monsters At St John's Library

Published Thursday, 2nd October 2014

Family Fun Time continues at St John's Library with a monster-themed activities and crafts event on Saturday, October 11.

Between 10 am and 12 noon, children will be invited to make a Gruffalo mask and take part in an exciting Gruffalo hunt in the Children's Library.

There will be themed crafts to make including money munchers, story boxes and models of children's favourite monsters.

The Family Fun Time sessions take place on the second Saturday of each month and have been running for two years.

Admission to the events is free of charge, but the library asks that every child attending borrows at least two items on the day and that they bring these to the session. The activities are suitable for 3-9 year olds and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cllr Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member for Localism and Communities, said: "Family Fun Time is very popular with local library users as it offers a variety of activities as well as encouraging children to use the library resources from an early age."

A programme of up and coming events can be collected from the library in Glebe Close, Worcester.
