The Redditch Tour Series Cycle Race returns to Worcestershire on May 9 for the eighth year and we are delighted to announce West Midlands Railway as our official Travel Partner for the second year.

Around 15,000 people are expected to turn out for the event which brings hundreds of elite cyclists to the town for a pro race which takes place between 5pm and 9pm, with community activities and inter-services races taking place from 2pm.

With so many spectators expected, it's key that we have sustainable travel plans in place and West Midlands Railway offers a great solution – with Redditch station being just metres from the track and all the live action!

Richard Brooks, Customer Experience Director for West Midlands Railway said “This is a great opportunity to show off the town and the surrounding area to thousands of visiting Tour fans while creating a unique community event. We look forward to bringing people right into the heart of the action with our Cross City train services which, from next year, will start to see the arrival of a brand new fleet of dedicated trains on the route as we invest £1 billion in improving local rail services.”

Lorna Jeynes, the Project Manager for the Tour Series said "I would like to say a huge thanks to WM Railway for their continued support. Without support from the likes of West Midlands Railway and our other sponsors, we would not be able to host such a wonderful event in our wonderful County.

We still have packages available if you would like to support the event, with adverts starting at just £150".
