Sports area available for use by community groups

Fairfield Neighbourhood Learning Centre have an all-weather sports area available for supervised community groups to use free of charge.

The area located behind the Fairfield Centre in Warndon is suitable for five-a-side football, basketball, netball, tennis or other similar sports.  The facility is available to local sports or community-led groups who are looking for a safe and secure space to use for a sports activity.   It can be used Monday to Friday between 4pm and 7pm or on Saturdays between 9.30am and 4.00 pm.
Cllr Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member for Communities and Localism said: "This is a great resource that we want to make sure is used as much as possible by local supervised community groups".
Cllr Alan Amos, Chair of Fairfield Campus Partnership Board added: "There are a lot of local people coming to the Fairfield Campus due to the range of advice and support services that operate from this centre. It is a unique campus that provides access to a Nursery, Children's Centre, Junior and Infant School, Library and Adult Learning all operating from a single campus. In addition to these services we want to make more people are aware of the outdoor sports facilities we have so that they are fully utilised".
