National Flood Forum returning to Hollywood

NFF Published Monday, 13th August 2018

The National Flood Forum will be holding an insurance surgery in Hollywood for residents following the flash floods in May.

They will be at Wythall Village Hall, in Alcester Road, Hollywood this Thursday, August 16 between 1-7pm. It is a drop-in session for anyone struggling with insurance claims.

In May, the villages of Hollywood in Wythall were hit by localised flooding after an unprecedented rain storm that saw 130mm of rain fall in two hours.

Councillor Tony Miller, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for the Environment at Worcestershire County Council, said: "The flooding may have happened three months ago now but sadly people are still feeling the effects.

"I'm sure residents will find it useful speaking to the experts from the NFF when they return to the village next week and we're grateful for them coming back."
