A magic lantern slide show is taking place at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester later this month.
Poet Paul Conneally will be narrating as he presents a unique collection of slides that will take audience members on a trip to distant lands, featuring live projections, spoken word and music.
'All Round the World' features slides belonging to traveller, photographer and Worcester resident Arthur Henry Whinfield and is taking place on Saturday, 28 July at 7.30pm.
Project Officer, Justin Hughes from Worcestershire County Council, said: "This is an amazing collection of slides, unseen for many years but can now be shared more widely.
"We've already had a lot of interest when we have shown just a few of them but this event allows us to present even more as we recreate one of Whinfield's slide shows."
Arthur Whinfield lived in Worcester over 100 years ago and is known today as the man who catalogued and shared the scenes of Worcestershire with the rest of the country and world.
Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, the event will be showcasing 1,800 lantern slides in celebration of the Whinfield project to conserve, catalogue and share the Lantern Slide Collection.
There are tickets still available which can be booked by calling 01905 611427.
