Worcestershire County Council is heading to the Bewdley Riverside Market this weekend to speak to residents.

The County Council kicked off its programme of Resident Roadshows at the Redditch Green Fair on Sunday (8th July). Almost 200 people came along to talk to staff and councillors at the event and take part in the activities on the stand.

As part of the council's summer roadshow scheme, councillors and council staff will be visiting each of the six districts in the county to speak to people about issues in their area.

This Sunday the roadshow teams will also speak to Wyre Forest residents about the way they think the council budgets should be spent, with feedback from these conversations used to inform the budget planning process in the future.

Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Transformation and Commissioning at Worcestershire County Council, Councillor Karen May said: "Hearing from residents and learning what issues are most important to them, is vital when it comes to running the county council.

"We really appreciate the time we have to meet people at roadshows, whether it is just listening to what their priorities are, or answering any questions they may have about their area. It was fantastic to meet and speak to so many people in Redditch, and their feedback was incredibly valuable.

"We are really looking forward to hearing from Wyre Forest Residents in Bewdley "

The Worcestershire County Council roadshow will be at the Riverside Market on Severn Side South, Bewdley on the 15th of July 10am - 2pm.
