A new acting head teacher has joined North Bromsgrove High School.
Worcestershire County Council has been keen to secure additional leadership for the school.
Lee Gray took up the post of acting head teacher on an interim basis from yesterday (Monday 2). Mr Gray is the substantive head teacher of Studley High School which is part of a teaching school alliance and he will be working with colleagues to support North Bromsgrove High.
Mr Gray will oversee the implementation of a short term plan for the school, meeting with students, parents, teachers and the local community ahead of the new school term starting in September.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Education and Skills, said today: "I'm delighted to see that an acting head has been found to lead this school going forward.
"The County Council has worked extremely hard to ensure leadership has been secured for North Bromsgrove High in such a short space of time.
"I have every confidence that the new acting head, along with the guidance and close support from the County Council, will help drive the improvements needed at this school."
The school's improvement will be closely monitored by the County Council, and support will be given to ensure the short-term plan and longer term plan will both be implemented effectively.
