Kidderminster Library hosts Basic Awareness First Aid course

A course aimed at introducing and increasing the understanding of basic first aid procedures is to be run at Kidderminster Library.

The first aid course will focus on basic first aid in the work place and particularly in a care setting.

The course will be run on Monday the 25th of June 2018, 9:30 – 13:30, with the key messages being how to manage first aid incidents such as choking, bleeding, burns, scalds, fractures and shock.

Juliette Matczak, Library Customer Advisor at Kidderminster Library, said: "We are proud to offer the opportunity to learn new skills at Kidderminster Library. First aid in the work place is important for everyone and we are pleased to offer this adult learning course to help increase the understanding of basic first aid."

This adult learning course is one of several opportunities Worcestershire Libraries offer residents to learn new skills and Kidderminster Library will run this scheme in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.

Anyone over 19 years of age is welcome to attend, and the session will cost £15.

Subject to criteria, this session will be free to residents in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or Tax Credits.
