Kidderminster Library will be once again opening its doors this June and increasing awareness of Dementia.
There will be a course taking place on Monday 11th June, offering an introduction to caring for people experiencing dementia.
The course, which will run between 9:30am-12:30pm will cover differing types of dementia, ways to prevent dementia and dealing with challenging behaviour.
Juliette Matczak, Library Customer Advisor at Kidderminster Library, said: "Increasing awareness of dementia, and how best to support people with the condition is a real priority for us all in Worcestershire.
This course allows people to grow in confidence and learn the skills and techniques necessary to be able to support those who need it. "
This adult learning course is one of several opportunities Worcestershire Libraries offer residents to learn new skills and Kidderminster Library will run this scheme in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.
Anyone over 19 years of age is welcome to attend and the session will cost £15.00.
Subject to criteria, this session will be free to residents in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or Tax Credits.
