A workshop to help explain archived photos is to run at The Hive at the end of the month.
As part of the Explore the Archives series, the workshop will cover the large collection of photos available from the archive service and how the public can search through the photos.
There are around 100,000 photos across the archive collections covering over 120 years.
The workshop is an opportunity to find out more about the images and where they came from, as well as how to use the indexes to find photos relevant to your search.
Paul Hudson, Learning & Outreach Manager, said: "Photos fascinate people, particularly old photos where people recognise views that are familiar but much changed. This workshop will highlight the wide range of images we have in our collections, as well as how to search and find ones which are useful for your research."
The workshop will be held on the 30th of May 2018 between 2-4pm.
Places are £6 and need to be booked in advance
