An Introduction to Archaeology Course has been organised by the Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service this November.

An Introduction to Archaeology Course has been organised by the Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service this November.

The course starting on November 1, will take place at The Hive between 2-4pm and will run for 5 weeks.

The workshop led by Justin Hughes looks at how archaeologists discover sites, how they can use photos and maps, how sites and objects are recorded and a brief archaeological history of the county.

Justin Hughes, from Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, said "Many people are fascinated by archaeology, the processes and how we make sense of what we discover. This is a great opportunity to find out, particularly as we'll use lots of examples from Worcestershire and the Midlands."

Places on the course are £45 and can be booked online through http://www.thehiveworcester.org/explore-the-past-events.html
