Kidderminster Library has announced it will be providing a new monthly session, opening its doors to those living with dementia and their families.

Kidderminster Library has announced it will be providing a new monthly session, opening its doors to those living with dementia and their families.

The project set up in partnership with Alzheimer's Association and Kidderminster Dementia Action Alliance, will begin on the 8th November and will run from 10-12 noon.

The sessions will allow all who attend a chance to enjoy refreshments and have a look at the varied range of books and photographs available in the library.

Members of staff and volunteers have taken part in training to raise their own awareness of Dementia and find ways of helping customers to access services.

The event is free to attend, and there is no need to pre-book, the library is also fully accessible, with a lift and disabled toilet facilities.
