Begin exploring your family history with help from Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service (WAAS).
WAAS offers free access to two key family history websites in The Hive – Ancestry.co.uk and Find My Past. These contain a huge amount of information for family historians, however it can be hard to know where to start and how to make the most of these resources.
These workshops will help explain the different sources which the websites contain and which are the most useful. The second half will involve using computers to have a go at browsing the websites.
The workshops will take place on Explore the Past floor, Level 2, The Hive:
Ancestry.co.uk - Mon 13 March, 2-4pm
Find My Past - Mon 20 March, 2-4pm
Paul Hudson, Learning & Outreach Manager, Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, said: "Our workshops have always been popular because they help people get the most out of these great family history websites which are free to access in The Hive. Tracing your ancestors is as popular as ever, and these workshops will help you use some of the best resources for getting started."
All are welcome at one or both workshops. Places cost £6 each but are limited and must be booked.
