Keep up-to-date with local issues at the Redditch Area Forum

Your chance to get more information about issues affecting the Redditch area. The Redditch Area Forum is taking place at the Town Hall, Redditch on February 7, at 6.30pm.

Worcestershire County Council have organised the latest Redditch Area Forum meeting in partnership with Redditch Borough Council and West Mercia Police.  Anybody who lives, works or studies in Redditch is invited to come along to meet Redditch County Councillors and take part in discussions about local issues.

These forums offer the community the chance to meet with councillors, officers, police and partners to really find out what is going on.  It is also a valuable way to offer suggestions and put forward views on those matters which are a priority.

On the night residents can join the discussion on

· Policing in Redditch,

· Healthwatch - who they are and what they do,

· Education in Redditch - Changes to Key Stage 2 assessments, changes to end of Key Stage 4 (GCSE) assessments, Ofsted and academies.

This is also an Open Forum where residents can put forward any issue to Councillors and representatives from these organisations.

This event is free and no booking is needed, all you need to do is turn up.

Deborah Dale, Worcestershire County Council's Member Engagement Officer has organised the event with County Councillors for Redditch Division.

She said: "Redditch has always been a clear priority for our Councillors and there's a huge amount of work going on in the town. This is a great opportunity for local people to find out about it first-hand and get answers to the questions they want to ask. I hope we'll see a great turn-out with as many people as possible taking the opportunity to speak to their local County Councillor. Everyone's invited, so come along and make your voice heard."
