Libraries add to membership benefits

eb Published Friday, 27th January 2017

Worcestershire library members can now borrow double the number of eBooks and eAudiobooks and choose from a much bigger selection of titles.

By switching to a new supplier, BorrowBox, Worcestershire library members now have the added benefit of: a service which is much easier to use; access to an increased collection of eBook and eAudiobook titles which will be added to each month; and the opportunity to borrow up to 12 items (six eBooks and six eAudiobooks) at any one time, double the number previously allowed.  And it is all free!

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member for Localism and Communities said: "We really don't shout loud enough about our free eBook and eAudiobook collection, it's a fantastic benefit to library members and with our new supplier there is so much more choice on offer.  Added to this library members should also take a look at our eMagazine collection, another free service with lots of popular titles, and plenty to tempt children and encourage them to read".

The exciting new collection of international bestselling eBook and eAudiobook titles for adults and children, including fiction and non-fiction is available to all library members.

Anyone not yet a member can easily become a member either by calling into any Worcestershire library with ID and proof of address or by joining online instantly via the website www.worcestershire.gov.uk/librariesandlearning. Membership is free.

Titles can be borrowed anytime and anywhere through the free BorrowBox app, through Worcestershire County Council library catalogue or through the BorrowBox web pages; details are available on the Libraries and Learning web pages.

Anyone needing help to join the library and borrow from the eBook and eAudiobook collection can call into any Worcestershire library and speak to a member of library staff or join a drop-in help session on the following days and dates:
