Worcestershire County Council in partnership with 29 other organisations formed Go On Worcestershire in November 2014 to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity and support to confidently go online.
The benefits of going online
There are many benefits to using the internet, here are just some of them:
- find work
- find information
- be entertained with videos, games and music
- stay in touch with friends and family
- explore your interests
- save time and money
What support can we offer you?
Digital Champions across the County provide one to one support as well as group sessions to help people in Worcestershire gain skills they need to make most of the internet. There are a considerable number of places offer free or low-cost internet access, you can find many of them via the Digital Champion website:
The Go On Worcestershire handbook contains key information about using the internet safely, organisations that provide basic digital skills training, affordable laptops, computers and connection, and support and products that help to remove barriers for those with disabilities.
There are a number of people who have already benefitted from the help that Go On Worcestershire offers, take a look at their stories.
Stay safe online
With more social media sites and easy access to the internet, it's important that everyone knows how to stay safe online. For more information, visit:
