What to Do If You Are Worried About Your Mental Health
It’s normal to feel worried and sad at times and sometimes it can feel like we have no control over our thoughts and feelings. These thoughts and feelings can often stop us doing the things we enjoy and can also affect our sleep and appetite. There are some things you can do to help yourself feel better.
- Eat well
- Participate in activities that make you feel good
- Spend time with friends and family
- Tell someone about how you are feeling
Sometimes you may need a bit of extra help if you don’t start to feel better after a while. You can get support from your family, school, social worker, GP or any professional who works with children and young people. They will be able to listen to how you feel and support you in getting the right help at the right time from the right service.
